xserver plugin dkms verhalten

Description

in 50% der reclones (2von4) trat dieser Fehler auf, ansonsten keine Probs (r3203):

Vendor-OS 'ubuntu-9.04-64bit' has been re-cloned succesfully.  
Creating default directories ...                               
copying uclibc-rootfs into vendor-OS ...                       
No need to change vendor-OS 'ubuntu-9.04-64bit' in OpenSLX-database.
reinstalling plugins...

 * xserver plugin can only install ATI or Nvidia driver
   via operating system packaging (e.g. != SuSE-10.2)!

weiteres unschönes detail. bis die erste anzeige "* downloading .." kommt vergeht ca. 1 min. was passiert da?

Fehler noch aktuell. Kam grad beim reclone von 9.04-virt auf der 4.6:

        xserver

Das ist leider eine ziemliche Katastrophe, da sich die Quellen häufiger mal ändern und es damit nicht ganz trivial ist, das Zeugs runterzuladen. Mit der Ubuntu 10.04 wird auch für NVidia das OpenSource-Modul Nouveau eingebaut, was hoffentlich einen Teil der Probleme löst. ATI geht schon mit dem aktuellen SuSE11.2 und 10.04 ziemlich gut mit dem Radeon(-HD).

Die neuen "radeon", "nouveau" Treiber scheinen weitgehend auszureichen. Insofern könnte die ganze non-gpl Geschichte zurückgefahren werden ...
